New Year New Me

New Year is the time when many people around the world make promises to make changes in life for the better however, many of the promises made by people are rarely completed. I plan to lose weight and improve my social life.
I will make that commitment and go into a positive attitude in taking a diet. We all know that losing weight can be quite a challenge. In fact, for some, it can be downright tough. It takes time, practice and support to change lifetime habits. But I alone am the one who has the power to lose unwanted pounds. Losing weight is not just about diets. It's about the whole new me and the possibility of creating a new life for me.
I will improve my social life through: getting the right hobby that can allow me to meet people more easily and could even quickly get me into a new social group, getting fun with my roommates and friends, be more approachable (I’m approachable but more), and? Argh! I just want to be like somebody else that has a face like a dictionary. I mean not to extend the limit. I don’t want to be so shy. Help me guys as I help myself.

Pin this! I can do it. We can do our new year resolutions.

Reflection

Another blank space in our lives was crammed with new experiences that enhanced our understandings and skills.
HTML Tags. Our focus in the third grading period. Memorizing and typing anaconda-like codes is not an easy task. Even with just a little mistake, your work will go boom panes!
We are almost done with the third grading period. The final grading period arrives. I hope our grades will be higher :-D We have been in happy moments and misunderstandings. Reminiscing these memories is great. We feel downcast because we are near to the end.

The final grading, what will it be? I hope it won’t be a cold-blooded period so that we won’t be hard up. We must do our best to extend our grades upper in a great distance.

Essence Of Christmas

*For to us a child is born, to us a son is given—Isaiah 9: 6
We are in that special season once again, a season of joy, of peace, of great tidings. A season when we celebrate the birth of Christ the King, the redeemer of mankind. Jesus is the reason for the season. The cold breeze came and wrapped the beautiful city of Vigan. Our jackets are now ready for us to wear them. Christmas lights are dancing in their own rhythms. Christmas lanterns are twinkling brightly. Christmas trees are standing pretty. But there ain't no signs of Christmas caroling yet.
Christmas is about love. Caring about another over yourself, spending the time to do the little things to make the holiday special for loved ones. Christmas is not all about merry making. We must also spare time to reflect on the essence of the period which is the love of God for humanity. This  love is summed up in the popular bible verse John 3: 16 “For God so loved the world that he gave us his only begotten son, that whosoever believe  in him will not perish but have eternal life.”When we ponder on God’s love for us, we too are encouraged to share love with others, to embrace peace and be our brother’s keeper. When we are imbued with this love of God, we will be always willing to give a helping hand to those in need, to give succor and comfort to the vulnerable ones among others.LOVE unites us. LOVE clears the air.
let’s try not to forget about the child, born on a winter night so cold, whose bed was made only of hay & animal food. our lord Jesus Christ, who taught us all what is real, & unconditional love is. As we celebrate the birth of our savior, let’s be human & kind enough to remember & show some love to all those who are not fortunate enough to be actively involved in the celebration of the birth of our lord and savior Jesus Christ.

Fight Global Warming

world-peace-in-our-hands

We are the steward of nature. We should be the one who governs safeguard for it. But, we did the reverse. We created a monster within it. The wrath of nature has begun.
Global warming is the greatest challenge facing our planet. It is one of the most current and widely discussed factors. The production of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases is having a heating effect on the atmosphere, and this could be very dangerous for human life. Excessive cutting down of the trees is another factor causing global warming. The climatic changes happen due to global warming. Seasonal changes are unpredictable unexpected thunderstorms might result as mentioned earlier.
Unfortunately, the imbalance which we have created between our life and earth is already showing the signs disasters in the form of flood, cyclones, landslides, tsunami, drought, etc. If the imbalance continues to rise, one day this will pose a question mark on the existence of this planet.
Forestation can be of great help in this regard. Planting more trees and reducing timber cuts worldwide will help restore the imbalance. We must follow on environmental policy of ‘reduce, reuse, recycle. Promoting the reuse of anything. The use of fuel-efficient vehicles should be promoted as these vehicles have lower harmful gases. Every individual should be aware of the importance of the protecting environment. Besides, Eco- friendly technologies must be promoted, and must be substituted with the technologies. Public awareness campaign can be of great help in this regard.

Outpouring Hearts and Minds Through Literacy And English Proficiency

And how will we do this? We will dig things for our own benefits. We will help ourselves to improve.
English, our universal language was brought to this world since forever. It helped us understand one another. It has been our key to express what our hearts and minds are shouting. If we will continue to hold literacy and English proficiency, there will be a great transformation of the Philippines into a bowl of progress.
It is us, people who are bravely determining our own future. We can engage ourselves to tear down the wall of shyness in expressing our thoughts in the public and build bridges so that we can able to communicate to the other countries where our love ones are. We will able to increase our knowledge and skills in writing and speaking English.

Equal Rights, Equal Opportunities

Many human beings have suffered because their rights have been dumped by some monstrous-greedy people. Those people swallowed the law. we have been slaves on our own country. Are we going to live like this forever? Will you fight for your right?
Some cannot move in fatigue and weakness. Some grab their food in extreme hunger. We have withstand such a picture of life. Dumping of our rights and opportunities has resulted to this. It is felt to the bone. Evil wrapped us. The rights and bravery of every Filipino fled because of extreme fear. so now, we must find it. Unleash this darkness that covered the world. Bring back the law.
Where is the hero of the times to  save humanity from the marching soldiers of Satan?
We are the ones! We must push change and reform. There are now laws that protects our rights. With these, we can live peacefully. We can get good opportunities. We can have a better Philippines. Kick-out greed, injustice and criminality. We must rebuild our country for the benefits of ourselves and  fellow Filipinos.
So now let us punch and put those bad people to jail. They must be locked there forever! We deserve justice!

REFLECTION: Amazing World of Browser and Tags

Hey people! Technology! It gave us many benefits. The doors of progress were opened because of technology. The elevator to greater knowledge was built.
Another quarter was done. We are near to the final battle of education in our high school life. Graduation is approaching and the gates of colleges and universities are awaiting. What are the new learning's we have? Was it easy? Or hard?
we have learned about the amazing world of browser and tags. We have encoded more than thousands of words. It is true that encoding tags are not that very difficult but it is very tedious. Your neck and fingers will stiff. Your eyes will burn. We must also make sure to type our tags correctly because if not, the outcome of our work will be destroyed. I have learned the use of notepad. It's cool having a computer subject. You can learn a lot from it.From these learning's, we can apply these to our everyday life. we can use these in our future.
The quarter III is coming. I suppose the lessons will be harder and more challenging.

INTRAMURALS: Boredom Strikes!

"Go crush! Go love! Ahhh! OMG!"
The eardrum exploding shouts and cheers of students of ISNHS during our intramural. The gym. The field. It was full of crowd shouting, cheering and clapping for their bets. While we, the CAT officers were busy having a duty. Holding the crowd to prevent disruption. I am so bored and sleepy. Huh! It's our last year in high school and yet they can't give us the best. Also, that super annoying interrogating pissing typhoon was attacking us. Our roaring anger was doubled. And so I went to the field to watch soccer to entertain myself.
The first game was played between the players of grade 9 and grade 8. During the game, rain fell. There was splashing of water while the players kick the ball. It was so cool to watch. The game was grrr! I want the grade 9 to win but  shame was felt by them because the grade 8 players defeated them.
Then the second game. It was played between the veteran and OLD players of seniors and the cute kiddos of grade 7. The field was slippery because of the rain. The fourth year players are expected to win and yes, they won. But oh la la! The grade 7 players were also good. With more development, soon they will also be as good as their grandparents, the seniors :-D
Every athlete must have sportsmanship. They must accept defeat. Hail for the champions! Better luck next time for the others. Peace my friends! :-D

Teachers: An Ultimate Refuge

"Teaching is the noblest profession." Yes this statement is true though others see it as a cliche, it is accurate and has proven itself from generation to generation.

From the moment we stepped our feet on the school and entered the classrooms of education where we developed ourselves, physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually, we already have created one unchangeable that a strong bond lives with us. We are then bound to share love, needs, and learning with the people we call our teachers.
Being a teacher is the worthiest a person can be. We must salute our teachers because without them, there will be no professionals. Even if it takes a global village to educate a person, still we have our teachers who never let us down. Perhaps they are making us stronger.
Headaches and burning of eyelashes are our teachers burden in their everyday life. Just to uplift the morals of their students. This shows that to teach is to touch someones life forever. We can't deny the fact that teachers are one of the noblest people in the world.
So even if we will go far from our teachers, we will still be close to them because one of our weapons in the challenges of life are their advises and teachings.
From the start, they accepted us as one of the list of receivers of that unconditional love. They have wrapped us with the warmth of their care to keep us from the cold world we entered. They taught us to distinguish what is wrong and right. They also taught us how to live.
We owe our teachers our very own existence. So they deserve our love an attention. They know us because they have been the witnesses of our growth from the time we were in Day Care up to now that we are graduating in high school. They are truly one of our ultimate refuge.

Immunization vs. Diseases

"Immunization: Arming science Clubbers with Healthful Defenses towards National Wellness." The theme for the science month celebration aims to contend the diseases that can harm our immune system. Would you help us in unleashing our sufferings from these diseases?
From the very beginning science has been serving the humanity and will always continue to do so until the needs of human being are fulfilled. The most potent weapon in preventing the invasions of diseases in our body is immunization. Our immune system is vulnerable to such diseases that causes fatal reaction in our body. Many people, especially children has a great number of death because of "disease attack." There are infinite loss of lives because not many of us has not yet been vaccinated.
The most common human killing virus that has been reported is the EBOLA virus. This has been a global discussion. There was no cure yet. But our scientists are doing all the best they can to find a cure for those people who are infected by this virus. Our country is also setting a safeguard for us Filipinos to not be affected by this killer virus. EBOLA is a foreign virus. This is more fatal than dengue.
Science has given us many help. Technology is rising. They have given us gadgets to to tract people who has the symptoms of having a virus or disease.
we must not act slow. Vaccination is always welcoming us. It's waiting for us. Act now before it's too late.

Mighty Hero

Do you know what hero is? A hero knows what is courage, bravery, and has a sense of dedication without the expectations of having any reward of what she/he have done. He/She is ready to go "zing-zoom-hayah!" risking his/her life for the safety of others.
From the moment that I was born and before I was born God has been the hero. He chose to die to wash the sins flowing in every vein in our body. Purifying is from this sinful world where we were born.
He has been there helping me to develop myself, physically, emotionally, mentally, socially, and ofcourse the ultimate is spiritually. I am then bound to share the blessings God had given me.
in times of trials, he never left me. He was always giving me hope and reason to fight. Sometimes my soul wants to give up because of tragedy. I can't help but cry, draining my eyes from crying. Pain reaps my herat. but still he was annoyed. he was always comforting me. Flashing beautiful memories and saying good thoughts to help me up. He has been my my hero since forever.
I hope you don't find me "madrama" We have our own freedom to speak. For me this essay is worth it.

Wika: Kaluluwa Nga Ba?

Reflection For The First Grading Period

We are embracing the computer world. Do we all know the uses of computer? are computers only for our own entertainments?
In school we learn how to properly use our computers. I have learned a lot in out computer subject (ICT). In every day, additional knowledge enters in my brain. Having a computer subject is great. Though sometimes it is hard. Because of ICT we discover new things. Isn't it great?
In our first grading period, our topic is all about "blog". We type, click, and post. Well it's not that easy to make your every grammar correct. it's that, if someone will read your grammatical errors in your post, they will immediately criticize you. They will think you are so stupid posting such funny grammars. See why you should be so sensitive and careful in every word you post? I'ts easy to type but, I'ts not easy to be criticized.
Quizzes? I hope it's not that poor. I do not want to have a low grade. I do not want failure course in my veins that's why I'm doing all the best i could. the slaughter house of failure is not my destiny.
I hope to add more in my knowledge. Even though  it will be a bit harder in the next grading period, I wish to learn more.No one achieves success without passing through difficulties. so let's go! Sign up and learn more!

SONA: Naniniwala Ka Ba?

This nation can be great again?  Th is is the question that I want to ask everybody.  Do you think you are responsible in making this country a hub of progress?
July 28, 2014 the date when our President Benigno Simeon Aquino III "Aquino" His fifth SONA delivered. Many has criticized the content of His SONA. Some also liked it.
Aquino said of the Philippines has decreased.  Shown But at my observations, the progress of poverty is moving like a turtle.  It is very slow. Poverty here in our country is like a lava inside a volcano. Rising and pushing itself. Soon to erupt.soon to explode. Such causing destruction.
We are responsible in making our country a hub of progress. We must be brave to fight for our future. We must awake the hero inherent in every man. March together and together we must go to the greatness of our nation.     We are responsible in making our country a hub of progress. We must be brave to fight for our future. We must awake the hero inherent in every man. March together and together we must go to the greatness of our nation.
"Prepare for Disaster, Hunger and Malnutrition Be Solved"

In every year we experience different calamities. Like storm, hail, earthquake, tornado, flood, landslide, volcanic eruption and even forest fire. These calamities are prevalent in the Philippines. This has brought menace to the entire country. How can we prepare ourselves to the calamitous events that will invade our country?
First step is to prepare ourselves there must be an action for the malnutrition people for them to have strength, healthy body and mind in facing the calamities that will come. Flood caused by heavy rain is the number one calamity we are facing. many places had been reported that They are drowning Because of too much water. In other words, they are experiencing floods. Eat healthy food to strengthen your immune system. those who are "willing" to help feed the hunger and should malnutrition. The theme for the Nutrition Month celebration is fitted to the situation of our country.  Malnutrition should be solved. Be healthy. Spread nutrition.

We Need a Remedy

July 3, 2014

Dear Mr. President,
Greetings of love and peace!
Nowadays, I can observe in our community that we are suffering from different serious problems. Gambling's, economic crisis, and environmental destruction's are very rampant. all of these were made by our selfishness and greediness. But, we can do a remedy to change these chaotic aspects that we are in right now.
Sir, I am Alfy Maegan Agsano, a fourth year science class student of Ilocos Sur National High School, Vigan City, Ilocos Sur. Iam an active member of the youth environmentalist in our town and I am concern to the problems that we are suffering right now. In line with this, I am asking you sir to please make a law on the preservation of our Mother Earth because without her, we will suffer. And I am also suggesting sir that you must have to make an order to all government officials of our country to conduct a seminar regarding how to protect Mother Earth and effects of Environmental Destruction's. Sir, I am looking forward for your favorable response regarding this matters. And I am hoping that there will be a change in our society.
Thank you so much Sir.

Truly Yours,
Alffy Maegan N. Agsano
